Bat Interrupts Newton, MA City Council Meeting

(Newton, MA) — Newton City Council members say they’ve never seen anything like it before. A council meeting was interrupted this week by a bat. The flying animal swooped through the chamber several times on Wednesday night. A person in the room says people were terrified and ran off screaming. Efforts to lure the bat were unsuccessful because all the windows were covered with screens. The meeting resumed last night after assurances were made that the bat was gone.
