The 29th-annual broadcast of the “National Memorial Day Concert” airs live on PBS stations this Sunday. Award winning actor, musician and veterans advocate Gary Sinise is co-hosting the event alongside fellow Hollywood star Joe Mantegna. Sinise has been a part of the show since 2005.
This year’s concert will celebrate several important anniversaries including the 150th Memorial day, 100 years since the end of World War One and the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Khe Sanh, one of the fiercest battles of the Vietnam War. Not only will Sinise be performing with his band, the all-star lineup also includes General Colin Powell, Mary McCormack, Leona Lewis and Alfie Boe in performance with the National Symphony Orchestra. The show runs from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
