A Charleston man was injured in a two-vehicle crash yesterday in Cumberland County. According to the Illinois State Police, 58-year-old Roger East attempted to pass a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Courtney Davis, of Greenup while she was turning left on Route 40 and struck the driver’s side door. East was ejected from his motorcycle. He was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital, and was charged with improper overtaking on the left, and operating an uninsured vehicle.
