(Undated) — The European Union is fining Google a record five-billion dollars. The E.U. imposed the record fine on Google today over its Android apps, which the E.U. says violate anti-trust laws. The European Commission says Google abused its Android market dominance when it bundled its search engine and Chrome apps into the operating system. The fine ends the E.U.’s investigation into Google’s contracts with smartphone makers and telecoms operators.
