Pope Francis says he won’t respond to claims that he covered up sex-abuse allegations in the Catholic Church. Francis told reporters today on board the papal plane that explosive accusations from former top Vatican official Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano speak for themselves. Francis urged the reporters to read the document carefully and come to their own conclusions about its credibility. In an 11-page document, the former official urges Francis to resign for allegedly covering up the abuses committed by former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick of Washington, D.C. McCarrick was stripped of his title and resigned last month.
