Former Cosby Show Actor Geoffrey Owens Scores Acting Job
(Undated) — Former Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens is scoring another acting job after getting shamed for working at Trader Joe’s. The 57-year-old just accepted a guest-starring role on the fifth season of CBS’ NCIS: New Orleans. He also recently picked up a recurring role on Tyler Perry’s show, The Have and the Have Nots, on OWN Network. Owens was photographed bagging groceries at a Trader Joe’s in New Jersey last week, but had to quit because of all the ridicule he received. He later revealed that he had to pick up the job to stay afloat financially after re-runs of The Cosby Show were pulled from the air because of Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case.
