Citing changes in the way consumers are buying products these days, Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield confirmed that the store in Pana will close on October 12th. The store, which opened 35-years ago, employed 85 people. Those employees will be offered the opportunity to relocate to other stores. Hatfield says consumers are looking for new ways to shop, including delivery and pickup services. Customers who use the pharmacy inside the store can keep their prescriptions with Walmart for pickup at the Shelbyville location, or they can transfer them to a pharmacy of their choice.
