Maine Restaurant Giving Lobsters Marijuana Before Cooking Them

(Seawall, ME) — A seafood restaurant in Maine is giving marijuana to lobsters to put them at ease before cooking them. Customers at Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound in Seawall can request to have their lobster sedated with the drug when they order it. The sea creature is placed in a box with some water, and marijuana smoke is blown inside to help calm them down. The owner of the restaurant says she came up with the idea because she wanted to kill lobsters in a more humane way. Marijuana is legal in Maine.
