“Rally Against Racism” Planned Today At SIU
(Carbondale, IL) — Students at Southern Illinois University are planning to “Rally Against Racism.” Today’s demonstration is being organized by the SIU chapter of Young Democratic Socialists of America. Earlier this month, flyers were found on campus accusing a male student of being a white supremacist and called for his financial aid scholarship to be revoked. Rally organizers say the university’s administration has refused to take action.
