(Palu, Indonesia) — Hundreds are dead in Indonesia after a tsunami and an earthquake in the city of Palu [[ pah-loo ]]. Video on social media shows people screaming and running from the waves. Officials say 384 people have been confirmed dead and at least 540 people are reported injured. The tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-7.5 earthquake Friday, sending ten-foot waves through the city and destroying thousands of homes, as well as hospitals, hotels and shopping centers. The BBC says strong aftershocks continue to rock the city. Rescue efforts are underway.
