Brewers Beat Cubs In Tiebreaker Game, Take NL Central Title
(Chicago, IL) — The Milwaukee Brewers are National League Central Division champions. Lorenzo Cain and Ryan Braun singled in runs in the eighth inning as the Brewers beat the Cubs 3-1 in a tiebreaker game at Wrigley Field. It’s Milwaukee’s second NL Central crown, but first since 2011. The Brewers will host the winner of Tuesday’s NL wild card game in the NL Division Series. Corey Knebel [[ kuh-NAY-bull ]] got the win and Josh Hader the save. Anthony Rizzo homered in the fifth for the Cubs’ only run. Chicago will host the Colorado Rockies in the NL wild card game Tuesday at Wrigley Field.
