Khabib Nurmagomedov [[ Nurm-a-go-med-ov ]] is still the UFC lightweight champion, but his win was marred by a post-fight brawl. Khabib defeated Conor McGregor via submission in the fourth round of their main event fight at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. Following the fight Nurmagomedov jumped over the cage and attacked one of McGregor’s coaches in the crowd. A member of the champions team came into the ring and attacked McGregor as chaos ensued. Both fighters needed to be escorted to the dressing rooms by security. UFC president Dana White said three members of Nurmagomedov’s team were arrested in connection with the post-fight brawl.
