A report claims that Colorado is on a path to break last year’s record in marijuana sales. The state released a report this week that says it surpassed the one-billion-dollars in marijuana sales for this year in August. At the current pace the report says they will break last year’s record of one-point-five billion in marijuana sales. The state has collected 200-million dollars in taxes off of the sales so far this year. Marijuana retailers say more people are giving cannabis a try and that they are seeing more women and older folks using their products.
