Speaking at a rally in Gary, Indiana, former President Obama urged voters to send Senator Joe Donnelly back to the Senate. The moderate Democrat is locked in a tight race with Republican Mike Braun. Obama stressed that this midterm election is especially important because a lot is at stake, like healthcare and basic freedoms for millions of Americans. Obama also threw jabs at President Trump, saying unlike some politicians he doesn’t just make things up. He added that he partakes in fact-based campaigning, not fear-mongering.
