According to Illinois State Police, there was a traffic crash that resulted in lane blockage Monday morning around 9:45 A.M. on I-74 Westbound near milepost 186. Preliminary investigation states that Jonathan D. Reynolds, 30, of Jacksonville, Illinois, was traveling west on I-74 when his vehicle, a 2017 Freightliner Truck Tractor pulling a Semi-Trailer left the roadway onto the left side of the road, overturning onto the driver side and blocking both westbound lanes of traffic. Reynolds sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Traffic was routed onto the shoulder of the road. The driver was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
