Mattoon Lightworks opens for the season tonight (Friday, November 16). Lightworks is open Friday and Saturday nights, 5pm to 10pm and Sunday – Thursday, 5pm to 9pm. Lightworks is open every night through December 25. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
Santa arrives at KC Summers tomorrow (Saturday, November 17) in the KC Summers Toyota Showroom. You can celebrate his arrival to downtown Mattoon with a free breakfast and pictures with Santa from 9am to 11am. Bring the family and enjoy a hearty meal and lots of holiday cheer before the Mattoon Christmas parade kicks off at 1pm.
Tomorrow (Saturday, November 17) is the Annual Holiday Arts Sale in the Lone Elm Room inside the Mattoon Train Depot. You can shop for handmade crafts from 9am to 2pm.
Also tomorrow (Saturday, November 17), The Mattoon Santa Chase half marathon starts at 12:55 from the Mattoon Train Depot, the 5K will follow at 1pm. The annual Mattoon Christmas Parade will step off at 1pm too. Like all Mattoon Parades, it will start at 21st and Western, go east down Broadway to Peterson Park.
