“Rolling Stone” has a list of the ‘Top 20 Shows That Were Made for Streaming.’ They only considered shows developed by and for Netflix, Amazon or Hulu.
So pickups like “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Catastrophe” don’t count.
Here’s the list:
1. “BoJack Horseman”, Netflix
2. “Transparent”, Amazon
3. “Master of None”, Netflix
4. “Big Mouth”, Netflix
5. “American Vandal”, Netflix
6. “Orange Is the New Black”, Netflix
7. “The Handmaid’s Tale”, Hulu
8. “One Day at a Time”, Netflix
9. “One Mississippi”, Amazon
10. “Homecoming”, Amazon
11. “Stranger Things”, Netflix
12. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, Amazon

“Rolling Stone” notes that streaming has been around for nearly six years, and Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu have produced close to 150 original scripted series. That doesn’t count kids’ programming, foreign acquisitions, and the occasional continuation of a show that’s been canceled by a traditional network.
