Change in Illinois Child Safety Seat Law

There will be a change in the requirements of child safety seats on New Year’s Day for the State of Illinois.  Effective January 1^st, children under the age of 2 must ride rear-facing.  Statistics show the children who ride rear-facing are five times safer than those riding forward-facing.  As always, if you have questions regarding the proper installation of child safety seats, please contact your local police department.
