…A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following waterways
in Indiana…
East Fork White River…Wabash River…
.As of late Monday morning, lowland flooding was ongoing or expected
along portions of the Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton due to
a combination of rainfall Saturday, of up to one and a half inches,
and high water from previous flooding.
Currently, the crest along the Wabash River is at Lafayette. The
East Fork White River at Seymour looks to crest tonight after 7
PM and flooding is expected to end late Tuesday night in the
Seymour area. Flooding looks to end along the Wabash River by early
Saturday morning in the Hutsonville and Riverton areas.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions…
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.
