Possession Of Marijuana Is Now Legal In Michigan
(Lansing, MI) — A day after the 85th anniversary of the end of Prohibition on alcohol nationwide, Michigan is ending its prohibition on recreational marijuana. Adults 21 and older can now have up to two-point-five ounces on them and as much as ten-ounces locked up in their homes. Smoking it, however, needs to be done in private, meaning you can’t smoke weed on your front porch, in your driveway, in your car, on sidewalks, or anywhere the public can access. Even with the decriminalization of the drug, you can also still be fired from your job for a positive drug test if your employer has policies against drug use.
