A lot of people are excited about the solar eclipse that’ll cut across the U.S. on August 21st. The last time we had one this good was 99 years ago. But apparently a once-in-a-lifetime event like that just isn’t exciting enough these days . . .
A flea market in western Kentucky is throwing a big eclipse party. And people who live nearby are upset . . . because they’re planning to do a big FIREWORKS display in the middle of it.
It’ll only last about a minute. But the total eclipse will only last 2 minutes and 21 seconds. And people who just want to experience the total darkness say it’ll ruin it.
Organizers are defending the idea though. Basically, they just think fireworks during an eclipse is awesome.
