(Oak Brook, IL) — McDonald’s is providing more education opportunities for its employees. The fast-food chain is set to invest an additional 150-million dollars in its tuition assistance program over the next five years. Additionally, the company is changing eligibility requirements from nine months to 90 days of employment and lowering weekly shift minimums from 20 hours to 15 hours. Eligible employees will have access to 25-hundred dollars a year and managers will have access to three-thousand-dollars a year. Since 2015, McDonald’s has provided college tuition assistance to more than 16-thousand employees.
