(Port Republic, NJ) — A South Jersey man’s obituary is getting a lot of attention for taking a jab at his beloved Eagles. In his obituary, Port Republic resident Jeffrey Clayton Riegel asks that eight members of his favorite NFL team serve as his pallbearers “so the Eagles can let him down one last time.” In a tribute posted online, a friend said Riegel, who died of cancer last Friday, had a gift to make light of any situation. “The Press of Atlantic City” reports the 56-year-old, an Eagles season ticket holder, is being laid to rest today in Port Republic.
