When you were a kid, you probably ate snow. Maybe you do it now as an adult. So here’s some advice that’s MUCH deeper than, “Don’t eat the yellow snow, son.”
A new study out of Romania looked at how long snow can sit there and still be safe to eat.
The researchers found that your best bet is to eat snow that’s less than 12 hours old. You could even push it to a full 24 hours, although there will be a lot more bacteria by that point.
But by the time the snow is two days old, you really need to avoid it . . . at that point, it’s not safe.
